Ferry Corsten - Backstage DVD

FERRY CORSTEN FULL ON FERRY DVD REVIEW ARMIN VAN BUUREN IPOD
FERRY CORSTEN FULL ON FERRY DVD REVIEW ARMIN VAN BUUREN IPOD
Today im in the mood for Ferry Corsten...The middle part of the DVD gave me serious goose bumps. The video production for Full on Ferry 2008 live recording has improved, better camera angle as opposed to Full on Ferry 2007 dvd. This time its more satisfying even though it is also less than 1 1/2 hrs. Im yet to watch the Documentary backstage

The only thing that im complaining is when pyrotechnics are used, the sound sinks. Unlike Tiesto In Concert 2 (My top fav followed by EOL, TIC1) DVD, in which it can be heard clearly, thus creating the same feeling as concertgoers are experiencing.

One more thing... Im hoping Tiesto or Ferry to release the DVDs as an iPod app like Armin Van Buuren did!!! (pic above; front is Armin app on iPod and back Ferry Corsten dvd). Its so convenient especially the only time i have to sit wth no internet distracting me is when im in the gym...

TIESTO - Kaleidoscope ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

TIESTO KALEIDOSCOPE ALBUM CD REVIEW
TIESTO KALEIDOSCOPE ALBUM CD REVIEW
Im not a big fan of changes, but now it seems that everyone is moving on. The first time i heard Tiesto last album, "Elements of Life" was a week after i attend his gig at Alexandra Palace, i was completely shocked!!! It was not as i expected from him, however it did grew on me and love it.

For "Kaleidoscope", i didnt check out the track previews before i ordered the album. However, I did heard his first single which is ok, but annoyed at the singer pronunciation of "here" and second "Escape Me", and "Feel it in my bones"
. Judging by the artist i do know what to expect and i fear that im nt gonna like it.

01. Tiësto feat. Jónsi - Kaleidoscope
02. Tiësto feat. CC Sheffield - Escape Me
03. Tiësto feat. Kianna - You Are My Diamond

04. Tiësto and Sneaky Sound System - I Will Be Here
05. Tiësto feat. Priscilla Ahn - I Am Strong
06. Tiësto feat. Cary Brothers - Here On Earth
07. Tiësto - Always Near

08. Tiësto feat. Kele Okereke - It's Not The Things You Say

09. Tiësto - Fresh Fruit

10. Tiësto feat. Calvin Harris - Century

11. Tiësto feat. Tegan & Sara - Feel It In My Bones

12. Tiësto feat. Nelly Furtado - Who Wants To Be Alone

13. Tiësto - LA Ride

14. Tiësto - Bend It Like You Don't Care
15. Tiësto feat. Emily Haines - Knock You Out
16. Tiësto - Louder Than Boom
17. Tiësto - Surrounded By Light

(After listened and skipped some tracks)
Tracks that tops my list:
3,4,5,6,11,16 and 17
Tracks that i like: 2,7,8,10,12,13,

Other tracks; either listless, i dnt like it, or it hasnt grown on me yet.

I feel that some tracks are better off without the vocals or at least lesser lyrics.
The good thing (Thank God) is he likes and chose to incorporate with rock/indie, and NOT rnb/hiphop.
Soz , i never thought i would say this, but the last DJmag i really dnt get why Armin voted no 1. But now i understand why Armin deserve the no 1 spot for the third year in a row. hmm maybe Kaleidoscope should be a double disc, one for trance, 2nd for trance and 2nd for pop-commercial???.hehehe
TIESTO TIESTO!!!!
♥♥♥ Tijs Verwest ik hou van jou ♥♥♥
pic taken b4 i listened to Kaleidoscope

In the end i still like and miss the Tiesto old-mind-blowing-trance.

But, no matter what Tiesto will always my no 1 fav.... Count me in for nxt year Kaleidoscope Tour in Malaysia or Singapore. Seriously if there w
ere no rules, ill definitely get a Tiesto tattoo...

Anjunabeats 7 by Above & Beyond + DVD

ABOVE & BEYOND ANJUNABEATS VOLUME 7 CD DVD review D
Tri-State is still my fav album produce by Above and Beyond.
'Clear Blue Water', 'Satellite' and 'Sirens of the sea' are my fav tracks from them as OceanLab. But, when i bought "Sirens of the sea"(the album), left disappointed, it was not as i expected.

Now, this is the second Anjunabeats mixed compilation that i own, first was Anjunabeats 100 + From Goa to Rio, it was ok. I cant remember why i didnt bought vol 6. Second, is Volume 7th. I heard the previews on their website and ordered it straight away. All of the songs are well chosen, I hvt got a real fav yet, but i do like "Anjunabeach". Next, I might consider buying "Anjunadeep:01"

I haven't checked the dvd, but it is up on YouTube

Darren Tate : Horizons 01

This is Darren Tate debut artist album. It has that Gouryella era sound. For me, this is the Darren Tate album i would like to listen in a club and also at home, its more uplifting and importantly danceable as compared to Horizon 02 in which i prefer to
"listened to it on my companion 3 and in my the car, but nothing beats listening on my headphone."

01. Now we are free (Ft Shena McSwee)
02. Horizons

03. Venus

04. Nocturnal Creatures (Vs. Jono Grant)

05. Dawn

06. All That I Am (Ft. Roxanne Wilde)

07. Let The Light Shine In (Vs. and Ft. Jono Grant)

08. Deliverance

09. Now Is The Time (Vs. and Ft. Mike Koglin)

10. The Other Love (Blue Amazon vs. D.Tate Ft. Vicky Webb & Glynn Poole)

11. Prayer For A God
(Ft. Swati Natekar)

My favs are in Bold.
I rate 9.9/10. Its massive!!! fab, build-ups and breakdowns.

Hoobastank - For(N)ever

HOOBASTANK FORNEVER ALBUM REVIEW
Finally, i have the time to finish listening to the album from first to the last track (Now, 4th loop). I have been sleeping way to early for the past week, its sux e.g 9.30pm prob coz all those food at weddings, open house/workplace.

After tomorrow night (Buffet dinner, celebrating 3 Librans in the family.. hheheh) , ill
start try bck dieting and start my weekend ritual to the gym.. heheheh Hoping to get fit for December.

Back to Hoobastank;
I read about "Hoobastank show shocker" here
Robb
said that if you are a fan of just "The Reason," he's not too interested in keeping you around. "

This album is better than "Every Man For Himself" [Although there are few fav's; "If I were you"(love the vid), "Inside of you", "The first of me" and "More than a memory"].

"The reason" (Single) is the reason (hehe) i bought the album in 2004 and still my top track BUT it is not just that, i seriously hv fallen for all the tracks. "The Reason"(album) is THE MOST heavily looped album in my iPod.

I REGRET not buying "For(N)ever" earlier this year, as i thought that it will be a UK release. This is the US edt, at £16.09 excl shipping, wch is kinda pricey (close to the price of DVD's). But its really WORTH IT!!!. It will be heavily looped same as "The reason"
.
Tracklist:
1. My Turn
2. I Don't Think I Love You
- My top fav
3. So Close, So Far
- love this
4. All About You
- great
5. Letter
-love this
6. Tears Of Yesterday
- love this more
7. Sick Of Hanging On
8. You Are The One
9. Who The Hell Am I?
10. You Need To Be Here
-great
11. Gone Gone Gone

+ Robb is so HOT... ..

*2 more CDs to review, and tomorrw i will collect more CDs at the Mail-processing Center. Hope its Tiesto Kaleidoscope... hehehe

I ♥ 64gb Ipod Touch

IPOD TOUCH 64 GB REVIEW
IPOD TOUCH 64GB 3RD GENERATION REVIEW
I meant to blog last week, but the new iPod has kept me busy... hehehe
Thank God, there was a delay in receiving my first salary, if not i will regret my **** out by my impulse buying, nearly bought the 2nd gen. As some may say there is a wisdom behind it.

The 3rd gen arrived here 30th of last month. After a week i rank;in order (as define by apple here)
1. A great portable game player
2. A great iPod
3. A great pocket computer

I desperately need space, to replace my bulky 2005 20gb iPod, so this is great although the Classic 160gb is much more appropriate.

The first apps that i bought was PaulVanDyk-DJ a month b4 i had the iPod. Now, i bought more apps n I dont dare to check hw much £ i spent on my Maestro. hehehe

My current fav music app (in order)
1. Ministry of Sound Dance Radio £3.99
- yipppeee... can stream over my fav stations, its faster than on my laptop. kinda pricey though

- cant wait to bring this in the club, way cooler than PVD apps

3. Paul Van Dyk DJ
- cant wait to bring this in the club too...

My current fav games apps (in order)
1. New York Nights: success in the city
- My top fav, this is the one that kept me busy, its addictive, really enjoyed it..
2. Gangstar: West Coast Hustle £3.99
- At first i tried the free trial,
I like it n bought the full version straight away. Its so funny... killing, running over people hahah plus i can listen to the iPod while playing
3. Lemonade Tycoon
4. The Sims 3
- actually this was my fav on my n-gage, but now it has taken over by "New York nights"
5. Monopoly: Here & Now: The World Edition

(Not in order)
6. DJ Mix Tour
- ermm boring, not my cuppa tea, hvnt even passed the first round to unlock more familiar songs
7.Ferrari GT: Evolution
-lovin the ferrari exhaust sound
8. Asphalt 4: Elite Racing
- kind a difficult coz it does nt use the Accelerometer, i prefer it on my n-gage
9. Need for speed undercover

* I just realized that i hvnt tried listening through my headphones hehehhe *

Mac OS X Snow Leopard
About a month ago i upgraded to Snow Leopard; and i did notice the difference.
- faster boot, extra GB yipee... less spinning beach ball and other tiny improvements.
- Strange my niece said it didnt make any difference, and recently i read an article in the news paper "average user wont notice.." hmmm...

Darren Tate : Horizons 02

DARREN TATE HORIZONS 02 ALBUM REVIEW
DARREN TATE HORIZONS 02 ALBUM REVIEW
Next year, Darren Tate will be in my top 5 dj vote. The reason why i like him is (as i am particularly picky); his consistency in producing/composing truly melodic, uplifting trance music, which got really got me hooked and fell in love with his style. Plus, he's classically trained, that explains it.

The first album that i own from him is under DT8 project "Perfect World", with great cheesy lyrics that i like heheh, and last month purchase of his flawless mix compilation album; Mondo sessions 01 and 02. Next, I manage to get his widely acclaimed album, found it at mondorecords.com arriving soon.

Another flawless mixed artist album!!!!, all the track are new to me, coz i hvnt heard it b4, as there are actually jst 6 tracks hvnt been released.

1. Chori Chori
2. Ride The Wave

3. When I Fall In Love

4. Sun Electra
5. On The 7th Day

6. I Would Die For You [Jurgen Vries remix]

-
reminds me of winter (also refer to the track with the same name) coz i listen "Perfect World" when
i was in London fall/winter

7. One True Love [club mix]

- i love the breakdown, esp when he releases the jog wheel

8. When The Morning Comes
9. Echoes

10. Reverse The Silence

11. Kireii [Darren Tate remix]

12. Dark Skies - Darren Tate & The Czech National Symphony Orchestra

= Heavy rotation 4 to 9 n 11
= As usual
i listened to it on my companion 3 and in my car, but nothing beats listening on my headphone. It feels so much better, just close my eyes, enjoy the journey, emotion streaming through the body, which takes u to other places (hahah sounds like on K).

Sometimes makes me weak, that's how powerful his music impact me heheh and give me chills me . If i was in a club, im sure people will think im high on e.. hahah

Current fav singles;
1. "Reach for the stars" by Antoine Clamaran

I love this track - its so happy.!!!!
Salute to those who can " Reach for the stars"
The lyrics go
"I, I gotta reach for the stars, no matter how far they are
I gotta believe in life, I'm catching the stars to shine"
I checked out his new album preview on his myspace and decide i will buy it, out on September 28th Go french-house.

2. "Home" by Paul Van Dyk feat Johnny McDaid

3. "Handguns (Dada Life Remix)" by Alex Gopher

P.S = Selamat Hari Raya
